ABOUT

BRIAN ISOM UNDERWOOD is an award-winning film producer, cinematographer, transformative life coach and radio host. Renowned for his compelling contributions to unscripted content, Brian has shot over 150 episodes of television. His work encompasses a variety of sitcoms and court shows, notably his role as the bailiff on We the People with Gloria Allred which was nominated for a Daytime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program. 

Brian is the host of Introspection on Magic 1240 AM WMGJ in Gadsden, Alabama, a radio show that focuses on elevating the mind, body, and spirit through life coaching advice, health discussions, and achieving balance in life. The show blends inspiring topics with local community voices and insights.

 

With a B.A. in Film Studies from Columbia College Hollywood, Brian has collaborated with notable film and TV directors such as Ted Lange, John Witherspoon, Angela Robinson Witherspoon (Betye Saar: Ready to be a Warrior), Abdul Malik Abbott, and La'Chris Robinson Jordan (January 14th). Brian is currently in pre-production for his short-form episodic digital series, Alabama Sun, set to premiere in 2025.

Brian's journey is deeply rooted in his 17 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army, where he excelled as a military instructor and facilitator, guiding and mentoring service members while honing his leadership and communication skills. A near-death experience during a tour in Iraq became a pivotal moment that inspired Brian to become a life coach, guiding others on their journeys toward healing and self-love through his consultancy, Brian Isom Consulting.
 

While living in Los Angeles, Brian dedicated his time to giving back to the community by volunteering with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Los Angeles County and lending his videography expertise to support Los Angeles Job Corps student government initiatives.​
